Being the Culligan water expert can be a tricky business. We encounter water from municipalities, deep wells, shallow wells and a host of other sources.

The water we deal with in just a few county radius can contain nitrates, sulfur, several times the EPA limit of Total Dissolved Solids, excessive hardness, and hundreds of other things.

We provide a variety of water treatment options to take care of nearly any problem, but we need to know what’s in your water, before we recommend a solution.

But can’t you just tell me right now what I need?

At Culligan of Topeka, KS, we have dozens of softener and filtration options along with a host of media tank sizes. Depending on the exact hardness and usage of your water, we determine the size of equipment you will need.

This water test sounds like a good idea, how much are you going to charge me for that one?

Good question.

If you’re on city or well water in one of our local areas (i.e. Topeka, Manhattan, Wamego, Holton, Osage City), our in-home water consultation and basic testing are completely FREE.

I know you’re thinking there must be a catch. I would think the same. It all comes down to providing the right solution for your family, home, and water the first time.

What’s that have to do with a free in-home test?

Well, it’s much cheaper for us to come out, look at your setup, and recommend the proper equipment the first time around compared to if we had to go back to correct a bad DIY job. The loss not only in our time and labor, but in goodwill, would far outweigh the costs involved with a quick visit to your home.

(Note: While our standard in-home testing is free, advanced well water laboratory diagnostics may require an additional lab fee depending on your specific needs).

With the Do-It-Yourself mentality in most areas, if we started charging just to walk through the door, we fear that too many people would get caught going with a cheaper box-store solution that doesn’t fully take care of their needs. Joe D & MJ were my technicians today with installing my water softener. I just wanna start off by saying that Joe is phenomenal, very experienced very knowledgeable, he immediately knew something was off when shutting off my water, he knew right away that it had to do with my water pressure. Got it checked, realized that it is super high, way over the 80 psi that is safe. I went ahead and called a plumber to come out here today to get a PRV installed. They will have to come back out to finish all the installation. But I appreciate both of them being so thorough, bringing that to my attention, because as a newish, homeowner, I could tell something was off with my water pressure, but I didn’t know what to look for. So him pointing that out so I can get it addressed is huge. Thank you to Joe and MJ, as well as a shout out to Justin in this review.
